Walking home

For the past weeks, I had been walking home from Kembangan MRT stn. It's about a 15-20 mins walk home.

Booked out of camp this morning. While I was walking home, I actually slowed down to enjoy the slightest sight of nature around me. Not that there was a jungle that I had to cut through but I was referring to the life in the big drain and the bushes that lined along the pathway. The walk was very relaxing even though I had to pull the bulky, non-bendable duffle bag home. I stop once in a while to look at the spider webs; saw a pair of butterflies mating; admired the flowers and just looking at the hornets buzzing from flower to flower.

Life is so rushed. We are always trying to get things done. Often than not, we might neglect the things that are around us. People whom we hold so dear to such as our family and friends or even the natural surroundings. Once in a while we should slow down and learn to appreciate these beautiful things.
